Here’s what we know what’s coming up in May 2013 for wine events and festivals in Israel
May 2nd Thursday 09:00-18:00
4th Annual Israeli Wine Convention & Festival in Rosh Pina
Stop by the 4th Annual Israeli Wine Convention in Rosh-Pina, at the Cinemateque- a professional convention under the theme this year of: “Growing Vineyards & the Production of Sustainable Wines”.
The Israeli Wine Convention (for professional participants), , this year, will focus on the growing of vineyards and the production of sustainable wines. The convention will review different aspects and examine practical aspects of growing and producing wine according to world-wide existing models that adhere to the principal of sustainability. The parties organizing the convention are: Tel-Hai Academic College, Ohalo College of Katzrin and Rosh-Pina Local Council. At the end of the convention the “Wine and Grape Industry Treasured Friend” award will be given for the first time. Prior registration is required, registration fee: NIS 50.
British Wine Writer Dr. Jamie Goode is a featured and will be speaking in English.

The Israeli Wine Fair in The Baron Gardens Rosh-Pina
highlighting wines from the Galilee and Golan
The wine fair will start on Thursday evening accompanied by rhythmic Latin music. The Baron Gardens, located in the historic part of Rosh-Pina, will host the festivities and the participating wineries, larger and well established commercial wineries side-by-side with smaller boutique wineries. Entrance is free and a professional tasting cup will be sold for the price of NIS 50.

9th Annual Haifa Wine Festival
at the Rappaport Auditorium’s Gardens
at only NIS 49, it’s probably the most affordable wine festival to attend on top of Mt. Carmel in Haifa featuring an expected 30 wineries, cheese dairies and other gourmet delights. The NIS 49 covers all you can taste and access to any of the three lectures given each evening. There will be a chef’s demonstration each evening as well.

Tel Aviv Wine Festival at the Eretz Israel Museum in Ramat Aviv
NIS 99 for unlimited tasting of wines
The festival will take place between 28-30 May, and during the festival, visitors can enjoy a tasting of an expected 160 wines
During the festival there will be live musical performances, and guests can also enjoy treats from gourmet dishes from food stalls as well as sample chocolate, cheese, jams and much more.
the museum is within walking distance of several bus routes including 501 & 502 from Tel Aviv (Central Bus Station or train station) or Herzliya & Ra’anana
